Aksìa Group SGR has acquired from Gradiente SGR e Insec equity partners SGR 100% of the share capital of Buona Compagnia Gourmet S.p.A., contributing to the creation of the Italian Food Excellence Group, the main Italian pole for the production of high-quality fresh pasta, gnocchi and ready meals, together with Master, Michelis and Il Ceppo

Founded in 2014, by the merger of Pamfood and Essedue Alimentare, Buona Compagnia Gourmet S.p.A. is a player specialised in the production of gnocchi and sauces, mainly in Italy and USA, which generates a turnover of ca. €40m

Italian Food Excellence S.p.A. was founded by Aksìa Group SGR for the acquisition during 2021 of Master S.r.l., a company specialised in the production and commercialisation of gnocchi which operates through Mamma Emma brand and private label. With the acquisition of Buona Compagnia Gourmet – main competitor of Master and renowned for the Patamore brand – the IFEX Group started the aggregation process of the sector, obtaining a unique strategic positioning in the market of gnocchi produced directly from fresh steamed potatoes. Master and Buona Compagnia Gourmet have been joined by Michelis, Italian excellence in the production of fresh plain, drawn and stuffed pasta, and Il Ceppo, a historic gastronomy in the centre of Vicenza that over the years has developed a structured workshop in which high quality gourmet lines are produced exclusively in bulk.
The Italian Food Excellence Group today generates around €100m revenues on a consolidated basis. 

Vitale acted as financial advisor to Buona Compagnia Gourmet shareholders offering support in the structuring of the transaction, in the negotiation phases and in the coordination of due diligence activities.
