Vitale assisted the shareholders of Germani S.p.A in the sale of a stake in the company to Eurizon.
Milan, 7 November 2024 - Eurizon Capital SGR (‘Eurizon’), the lead company of the Asset Management Division of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, has completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Germani S.p.A., an Italian operator in the road transport and intermodal transport of waste and other materials, founded in 1965 by Faustino Ferrari and based in San Zeno Naviglio (BS).
Germani, one of Italy's leading companies in the sector for environmental and sustainability measures even under emergency conditions, will achieve a turnover of approximately Euro 150 million in 2024 and, as of today, carries out its services using a proprietary fleet of over 700 vehicles for road transport and approximately 800 containers for intermodal transport.
The transaction envisages, alongside Eurizon's funds, the re-investment, with a significant stake, by Mauro Ferrari, former managing director of Germani, who will retain this role, by Arcese Trasporti, the Ferrari family's historical partner, and by Gino Braglia and Marcello Zironi, respectively managing director and minority shareholder of Trasporti Vecchi Zironi (a company controlled by Germani).
The presence of Eurizon in the shareholding structure will allow the Germani Group to continue on its path of organic development of its client portfolio, which sees the presence of important players at a national and international level, and to pursue a clear strategy of market strengthening through M&A.Vitale acted as financial advisor to the seller.
