On 2 May 2022, Edizioni Il Capitello S.p.A. ("Edizioni Il Capitello") sold its trademarks and publishing activities to La Scuola S.p.A. ("La Scuola Group"). The brands and the catalogue Il Capitello, Editrice Piccoli, Reda and the promotion and distribution of ElleDiCi brand for textbooks for the teaching of the Catholic Religion become part of the offer of the La Scuola Group.
Edizioni Il Capitello, founded in 1983 and based in Turin, is a publishing group specialized in school textbooks with over 300 titles for students. In 2021 the activities sold generated revenues of around €16.0m.
La Scuola Group, with origins in the early 1900s and headquartered in Brescia, is a publishing group specialized in school textbooks. The group also offers magazines and training courses for school teachers.
The aim of the operation is to enable La Scuola Group to achieve an even more distinctive dimension, particularly in the panorama of primary and secondary school operators.
Vitale acted as financial advisor to Edizioni Il Capitello providing support in the coordination of due diligence activities, in the structuring of the operation and in the negotiation phases.
